6 Month Update

Lexi had her 6 month well baby on Monday. She's actually 6 1/2 months but for some reason her appointments are always off a couple weeks. Here are her stats:

16lbs 4oz (55%)
25.75 inches (50%)
43.4 cm (77%)

She's still small in the height and weight, but apparently has a huge head! She did really great with her shots this time. She only cried right when she got the shots but as soon as I picked her up and held her she was fine.

Her teeth have really started to pop up. I took some pics of them last weekend and you can kinda see them, but since then they've come up even more. I still don't know how long before they will fully come up, but the doc said it usually takes a couple of weeks. She's already starting to look so different with teeth!

Teeth!

Lexi is getting her first two teeth! She was really fussy this past weekend, squealing and screaming a lot. We thought she just had another cold. But the girls at daycare today said they thought she might be teething. Sure enough when I was feeding her dinner tonight I could feel the spoon getting caught on something (she bites down on it!). I looked in her mouth and she has two little teeth popping through on the bottom of her mouth. Now that I think about it she has all the symptoms of teething...rosy cheeks, drooling, runny nose, and fussiness. I wonder how long it will be before these two teeth pop up. She's going to look so different with teeth! We gave her some teething rings tonight and that seemed to help. I also picked up some baby orajel and a fresh food feeder that I think I'll try tomorrow. Hopefully those will help.
